Inevitable Love by JC Santo

RATING: READ IT

I just finished Inevitable Love (Navy Love Series Book 1) by JC Santo and I have to say that I totally loved it. I really did. It’s just so damn sweet. Inevitable Love is the story of Tessa + Hunter. However, I’m thrilled that this is only Book 1, because I loved the cast of characters so much, I really want to know what happens to all of them. [Note: Book 2 is slated for release in the next few months.]

Tessa is a great heroine and exactly the kind of female lead I love ~ smart, sexy, confident and a little tough. Most of all, I really love how she listens to her heart. To me, that’s the greatest strength of all. Oh, and I love the image of Tessa on the cover! Totally hot!

Ok, can we get to Hunter? I rarely say this, but to me, Hunter is the perfect Book Boyfriend. He’s sweet and smart and sexy as hell. Button-down shirt with tattoos underneath. A dedicated, responsible father that just so happens to be totally hot in the bedroom. The sex in this book is sizzling! No joke. I love the chemistry between the two of them and I love the way they love each other.

There’s enough angst in the book to keep it interesting, but nothing too over the top or unrealistic. It’s just life. Sometimes, that’s enough. In this instance, it most certainly is.

I do have one caveat: I am a total grammar nerd and there are quite a few grammatical/spelling issues. I know that Ms. Santo is a new author and I am assuming self-published. Unfortunately, I think this book could have benefited from a serious editor. For those of you that can’t handle those issues, you might want to wait for a refresh on this edition. I do, however, feel that it’s worth overlooking in this instance. It’s well written and I enjoyed the story, the dialogue and the characters tremendously.

As of 2.9.16, Inevitable Love is available on KU.
