RATING: READ IT
KU Book Reviews just turned six-weeks old this past Tuesday and what I’ve found so far, is that not every book I read can have its own dedicated post. That being said, I still want to share some of the quick reads I’ve found with you. Again, one of my big goals here is to help you cut through the KU clutter. Not every book is going to rip my heart out or make me swoon or stick with me forever, but there are so many great books out there in the KU universe and even if it isn’t a heart stopping, life changing book, with KU, we have unlimited access to a ton of great content. Here are four books I read this week. All of them were read in an evening or two. Without further ado, four new, quick Read Its:
Blind Date by Emma Hart ~ I love a book with a solid Alpha male, but what I like even more is when the female lead has the balls to handle him. Carter + Bee are both more than up to the task. Blind Date is hot, it’s fun and it’s a great read. The entire story is told from Bee’s perspective, which I enjoyed. However, in hindsight, I would have loved to have learned more about Carter. Even still, I loved it and recommend reading it.
Break Me Down by Jennifer Domenico ~ This is an interesting read. I personally really liked this book, but I think some readers could take issue with the Doctor/Patient aspect of it. If that’s something you can’t get around, Skip It. However, if you can get beyond that (which I most certainly suggest you do), I think it’s a really good read. I loved the story and the development of both characters and it definitely surprised me in many ways. [And can we just talk about that cover for a second?!? H. O. T.]
Rock the Boat by Gia Riley ~ I really enjoyed this book. I wish I could be more eloquent in my description, but the word I keep coming back to is ‘sweet’. It’s just a really sweet read. It touches on loss and betrayal, but this isn’t the kind of book that’s going to rip your heart out. If you’re looking for an easy, sweet, fairly fast and fun read, this book will suit you very well.
Gents 4 Ladies by Dez Burke ~ Gents 4 Ladies is one story inside Tough and Tender (Bad Boy Romance Box Set). For a story that could seem entirely unrealistic, I thought that Ms. Burke did a great job of making it all seem very plausible. It was adorable in many ways and the sex was really hot. I would have liked a bit more development between the two characters, but again, this is a very quick read and well worth the time. [Note: I have not read any of the other books in the box set.]
As of 2.26.16, all titles listed are available on Kindle Unlimited.
