4 New KU Read Its by Christine

Still Here: A Secret Baby Romance by Laura Belle Peters and Kaylee Song – This was the first book I’ve read by either of these authors. It was a great second-chance-at-romance read. It was easy to follow and I read it in one day. The baby was really the only twist in the story (hint: it’s not really a surprise when it’s in the title), but it was fun to watch Wyatt try to win Rose back. He is a reformed bad boy living in a small town and Rose returns only to be drawn back in by him. It was a light and quick read. I enjoyed it.

The Slam by Haleigh Lovell – This was the first book I’ve read by Haleigh and it definitely won’t be the last! The Slam was the first book I’ve read where the female lead has Asperger’s. At first I wasn’t sure how I would like that, but Adelaide quickly grew on me and she is now one of my favorite female leads. Ender is, of course, panty-melting, and watching his walls crumble with Adelaide was so fun to watch. My favorite thing about this book though was the humor. I have read books where I chuckle here and there, but this book had me crying from laughing in a few spots. I haven’t enjoyed a book like that in so long. This was a fun story and I loved the quirky heroine. I would definitely put The Slam on your TBR list!

Fall Into Temptation: A Small Town Love Story (Blue Moon Book 2) by Lucy Score – Does anyone write small town love stories like Lucy Score? I thought Beckett + Gia’s story was again another hit.  The author gives us another swoon-worthy man who makes mistakes, but isn’t afraid to go in front of a whole town to beg forgiveness. Not many men are willing to endure that! Gia, our heroine, is an independent mom looking to start over. Falling in love was not on her timeline. The town of Blue Moon has so many fun characters and they all get involved in the matchmaking. I love how we get to see Summer + Carter from the first Blue Moon book, No More Secrets: A Small Town Love Story, get married and settle down, too. These are small town characters that you just fall in love with and can’t help but want more. Fall Into Temptation is the second Blue Moon book, but can be read as a standalone.

Naked Truth by M.D. Saperstein – I have read a few books by this author and really enjoyed them. This book was no different! This was a quick read ~ I read it all in one night. This is a book where things aren’t always what they seem. People get caught up in lies by omission. I loved Violet, who is a heroine with family values and who is a strong person. Pike is a strong character also whom you can see struggles with his job and where he wants to be with his life. And he desperately wants Violet in that life, if he can get back to it. I loved watching these two come together. They had fun banter and a hot connection. This is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger.

As of 5.12.16, all titles are available on Kindle Unlimited.
