Resilient Love by JC Santo

The further I get into this series, the Navy Love series by JC Santo, the more in love with these characters I fall. Resilient Love, book 3 in the series, is the story of Jo + J.C. We’ve met these two before in Inevitable Love (book 1) and Love Unexpected (book 2), but we’re kept in the dark as to what’s actually going on between the two. In Resilient Love, we finally find out and it was well worth the wait.

Resilient Love is by far the most emotional book of the three. Jo + J.C.’s road to coming together has not been easy and they each have things, either in their present or past, that affect them greatly. They’ve both been hurt in different ways and, at least initially, are wary of love.

Once the two come together, however, the story is far from over. Life continues and with that, the ups-and-downs of life keep coming. Throughout these times, it was beautiful to see J.C.’s love and commitment to Jo and to see how he truly understood what he needed to do to bring the two of them together. Additionally, Ms. Santo tackles some very emotionally heavy content and handles it beautifully.

As with all of the books in the Navy Love series, the cast of characters is made up of the most wonderful friends that truly are a family unit: Tessa + Hunter, Tegan + Reed, Miller and Marshall. When we finally come to the end of Resilient Love, we learn that Marshall’s story is next. I cannot wait!

As of 7.7.16, the entire Navy Love series is available on Kindle Unlimited.
