Blame It on the Shame by Ashley Jade

RATING: BUY IT

Social media can be a wondrous place. A way to stay in touch with family or reconnect with friends. It’s really a great way to connect with people who share the same interests and hobbies as you do. It’s in this capacity I met author Ashley Jade. Already an established, published author with several books under her belt, we landed on the same thread for bloggers to talk about their blogs. As a fan of dark reads, you can imagine how excited I was to learn that her stories lean in that direction!

blame_it_on_the_shameI knew Ashley has been working hard on a new book, a sequel to her Blame It On The Shame, so I had to jump in and read. Oh, wow, what a great decision! This is an action packed, angsty, romantic, and yes, dark story of Ricardo + Lucianna. Ricardo is the son of the ruthless, soulless mob boss DeLuca, a heritage he hates more than anything else. Lucianna is DeLuca’s young lover, rescued from a life of hell. Though a very rocky relationship in the beginning, Ricardo + Lucianna grow close when they realize DeLuca has manipulated almost every move they make.

I loved the gradual, organic growth of Ricardo + Lucianna’s relationship. When you find that person you share so much in common with and can so easily understand, that’s the person you fight to be with, regardless of the obstacles. And make no mistake, there are obstacles. Blame It On The Shame is a cliffhanger with an incredibly explosive, satisfying ending. Blame It On The Shame 2 releases November 22nd.

As of 11.8.16, Blame It On The Shame is available on Kindle Unlimited.
