The last book I read by K.L. Grayson was A Lover’s Lament and I absolutely loved it. It had been some time since I read it—almost a year—and it was co-written, so I didn’t know how I would feel about The Truth About Lennon. The truth? I loved it!

This is the story of Lennon + Noah. Lennon—socialite, child actor, beautiful and a bit lost—has left New York to escape {exactly why, we don’t know} and she meets single-dad, tatted, hot AF, mechanic Noah when she runs him off the road on his motorcycle on her way into Heaven, Texas.

Theirs is an instant connection, even if Noah fights it. However, one of the things I love about Lennon from the start, is her tenacity in going after what she wants in life. In this case, Noah. Breaking his defenses down simply by being herself was a treat to watch. And how she connects to his little girl is so heartwarming, you can’t help but love and hope for these three to become a family. But pasts are buried and histories have gone untold and sometimes, you just don’t know if a relationship can make it through the discovery.

But the sex? Whew, seriously, where do I start? It’s hot and passionate and connected. It’s loving and perfect and everything you want a new couple to experience. And not to get too technical, but the way it’s written and the way each movement is described really was done so expertly.

I haven’t made my way through K.L. Grayson’s back catalogue yet, but The Truth About Lennon—the connection between these characters, the tale that was woven and told so perfectly, the sex that brought it all together—makes me want to do so in a very big way.

She was the end of the line, the dream come true, his personal forever.

Why, why, did it take me so long to read a Katy Regnery book? One of my favorite people sings her praises on the regular, and I didn’t listen?

What is actually wrong with me?

Well, rest assured, I’m now officially a convert. And all it took was one book; one English brother, one beautiful romance. And that book? Breaking Up with Barrett (The English Brothers Book One).

Y’all, this book is swoonworthy from cover to cover; an adorable, lighthearted, sweetly perfect love story that made my heart swell with good feelings and overflow with happiness. I mean, Barrett + Emily are all chemistry and requited love, and there were moments when I had to pause reading to gather myself (Barrett on the balcony at Trade Winds? *dead*), because Ms Regnery was turning me to mush.

Happy, sated, romanced mush, people. Fake fiancée? Love. A lifelong connection? YASSSS. Thoughtful words and actions? Thank you! Communication and calm thinking? Perfection. Barrett English? Stick a fork in me, I am DONE.

In summary—in case my *flails* weren’t clear enough—Breaking Up with Barrett was a one-sitting, can’t-put-this-book-down read for me, and I have #NoRegrets about that—except maybe for the fact that I didn’t pick up one of Ms Regnery’s books sooner…(Sorry, Shelly).

“You are so beautiful… it hurts to look at you.”

As of 02.26.2017, The Truth About Lennon and Breaking Up with Barrett are available on Kindle Unlimited.
