KU Sunday Spotlight by KUBR + OCA

It’s time for the Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the One-Click Addict Support Group. This week’s edition features two quick-and-dirty Read It reviews—a little dirty, a little taboo and a LOT sexy. Make sure you add these two to your TBR and, as always, enjoy!

Electricity danced across my skin, sparking and popping over my sensitive flesh.
It was intoxicating, euphoric, overwhelming.

Question: If I just yelled, ‘THIS BOOK IS SO HOT, YOU HAVE TO READ IT’ at you and called it a review, would you judge me? Because that’s legitimately the only thing I can think of to say about Brandon by Julia Sykes right at this very minute.

This very minute being the minute I finished reading it.

In the spirit of Brandon, I’m going to keep this review short—and sweet, not that you can call Brandon sweet. No, this Dom is more demanding, commanding and HOT. The book, however? It’s definitely short. But in that a good, quick-and-dirty, one-handed-read kind of way.

Did I mention this book was hot? The juxtaposition of Mistress Ella, Domme of Dark Grove Plantation, and Master Brandon, the Dom who wants to own her, is FIRE. Their push and pull, their chemistry is off the charts. Their explosion is… well, explosive.

Basically, what I’m trying to say is, if you’re looking for something fast and fuckhot, then read this book. If you’re looking for something sexy and a little sinful, then read this book. Because, while it would only have benefited from a bit more depth and some additional length {*snort* depth and length are SO important…}, ultimately Brandon + Ella together have heat and heart enough to make Brandon a book you need to read. ASAP.

Ever since I’d first laid eyes on her, she’d been mine and I’d been hers. Now, she’d finally surrendered to the inevitable. She’d surrendered to me.

Back in April, K Webster brought us her take on #bedtimestoryinthekorner. Taboo, quick-and-dirty and hot AF—three things she excels at. There were a ton of comments and conversations each night and I recalled that in them, she mentioned a taboo novella she had recently released, Bad Bad Bad. So when I found myself in a quick-and-dirty taboo kinda mood this past week, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. So, let’s take a look at Bad Bad Bad, shall we?

First, taboo? Ummmm, well, if dad’s best friend and not-quite-eighteen year old daughter screams taboo at you {and if it doesn’t I want to know what you’re reading, because I obviously need to expand my horizons}, then BIG check on that one. But just to make it that much more taboo, how about daughter’s best friend and dad? Oh, and her dad’s the sheriff and you guessed it, she’s also not-quite-eighteen yet. So yeah, taboo? I’d say that’s sufficiently covered.

Quick-and-dirty? 120 pages for TWO stories—check!

Hot AF? I’ll let you experience each sexy scene for yourself {isn’t that one of the best things about a Q&D?!?}, but rest assured the answer is a resounding YES!

I have yet to read a K Webster book that I didn’t love. I still have quite a few to get to {the woman is SO darn prolific, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully catch up}, but whether it’s dark, taboo, twisted or tangled, it’s always a book that satisfies me. So the next time you’ve got a hankering for a Q&D, know that Bad Bad Bad will not disappoint.

As of 07.23.2017, Brandon and Bad Bad Bad are available with Kindle Unlimited.
