KU Sunday Spotlight by KUBR + OCA

Welcome back to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the One-Click Addict Support Group. After a week off, it’s time to dive back in but, from here on out, things are going to be a little different. With Mila moving on to New Chapters, I’ll be in charge of spotlighting the best of KU each and every Sunday. All on my lonesome… *clutches chest in terror*

Anyway, enough of that. Let’s start this new beginning with a BUY IT, shall we?

RATING: BUY IT

When everything around me seems so cruel, it’s a beautiful smirk that can pull me from diving into a deep dark hole head first.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me and my reading habits that Meghan Quinn is one of my auto-buy authors. That’s not a title I use often or give lightly—despite my loyal reading tendencies—but when it comes to Ms. Quinn, I am all in, at all times.

So, obviously, Twisted Twosome, her latest {and dare I say greatest?! *bites lip* It’s a near thing…} release was going to end up on my Kindle on release day. And at 100% soon after. I couldn’t help myself; I read and gorged and devoured Racer + Georgie’s story. How could I not, when it so wonderfully, so effortlessly, so thoroughly charmed me?

Here’s where I should include some impressive words, in honor of this ludic yet antipodean couple. Except… they don’t need fancy language. They just need to be the achingly kindred pairing that Ms. Quinn meant for them to be. And surely, I don’t need to impress upon you the skill with which Twisted Twosome is written. Do I?

On the off chance you need more than words regurgitated from m-w.com, here goes: this author merges laugh-out-loud humor with tears-in-your-eyes emotion deftly. Seamlessly. Perfectly. It’s such a joy to read a book like this, where you are free to enjoy, to smile, to swoon, to cringe, to rage, to feel.

To fall in love.

Twisted Twosome takes two people—Racer + Georgiana—and makes them three-dimensional, gives them life, makes them lovable *and* {and this is important} likable. From Racer’s hard-working, insecure yet playful personality to Georgie’s tenacious, sassy yet vulnerable soul, it becomes impossible not to root for them.

Just like it becomes impossible not to automatically one-click any-and-everything Ms. Quinn releases, the moment she releases it.

There are so many facets to this man, so many ways he’s impressed and surprised me. And he gets me. He wants me. Me.
He’s utter perfection.

As of 08.06.2017, Twisted Twosome is available with Kindle Unlimited.
