Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke

RATING: BUY IT

When I saw the cover for Adriana Locke’s Lucky Number Eleven, I knew I had to get my hands on that book. Adriana has written some dreamy men, and I couldn’t wait to see where she was going to take Branch Best.

A lot of the time, I’m on the right track, but I was not prepared for the direction that Lucky Number Eleven took. When I first met Branch, I couldn’t figure out what was so special about this guy, but by the end, I was claiming Branch as one of my favorite book boyfriends. He stole my heart. Layla is a strong character whom I admired from the first page, and I cried with her a number of times through the story. Branch + Layla had me glued to the pages so I could see where their relationship would take them.

One of my favorite things about Adriana Locke is that she writes not only awesome primary characters, but the supporting cast is always spectacular, too. Finn + Poppy, who are Branch + Layla’s best friends (and Finn also happens to be Layla’s brother) give the story a much greater depth. The bromance between Finn and Branch, and the sisterhood between Layla and Poppy, adds so much to the narrative. I’m really hoping that Finn + Poppy get a book, because these characters are screaming to tell their story!

If you love a good romance that has heat and sass, but can also make you cry, you will love Lucky Number Eleven. Plus, if you are an Adriana fan, you will be thrilled to see a few familiar people pop up in the book—and there may or may not be mention of grapes in there.

As of 09.07.17 Lucky Number Eleven is available on Kindle Unlimited.
