KU Sunday Spotlight by KUBR + OCA

Heya, KUbbies! Welcome back to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the One-Click Addict Support Group. This week, a sexy screenwriter, an attractive actress + a couple of cute kids = a Read It book that’ll make you laugh, smile, sigh *and* swoon. Make sure to add it to your TBR and enjoy!

“To me, you’re my sprinkles on a sundae. You’re my frosting on a brownie. You’re my Splenda in my coffee. You’re my sugar on a cookie.”

Fun fact about me: you can absolutely win me over with food, good books and humor. The Manny by Piper Rayne won me over because ALL THREE OF THOSE THINGS.

You guys, this author duo is fast becoming one of my go-to authors when I want sweet, sexy, silly romance—their books are light on the angst, heavy on the heat and humor, and altogether just incredibly quick, easy, and rewarding to read.

Yes, rewarding. They don’t take much brain power, but they will take a chunk of your heart along with them. In this case, it’s Vance + Layla who are stealing that precious organ away. Everything, from their first meeting onward, is charming and engaging. Funny, flirty and cute. Add in a Layla’s little cuties, Payne + Via, and you have a book that’s nearly impossible to set aside. Especially with Vance sending your ovaries into overdrive. . .

Once again, Piper + Rayne have come up with a one-sitting read, which feels good, leaves a smile on the face and has its share of laugh-out-loud moments. It’s perhaps mildly predictable but that’s not a bad thing. It’s comfortable. It’s satisfying. It’s warm and easy to snuggle under the covers with—knowing that, when the end comes, you’ll be happy to have had the chance to spend some time with this mmm, so hot and sweet Manny, his girl, his friends, her kids and, of course, these two authors.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!

“Don’t ever be self-conscious around me because when I see you” —I purposely let my eyes meet hers in the mirror— “I always see perfection.”

As of 10.22.2017, The Manny is available with Kindle Unlimited.
