The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score

RATING: BUY IT

“Cat squeezed his hand, her heart breaking to bits over the little boy who dreamed of Christmas lights.”

christmas fixIt looks like we here at KU Book Reviews had Lucy Score on the brain this week. I believe that Beth, Mila and I can all agree that she is a must read author! And her latest release, The Christmas Fix, gave me all the feels and definitely put me in the holiday spirit.

One of the things I love most when I pick up a book by Ms. Score is the knowledge that the characters are going to touch me on a deep level. She writes characters who are so well thought out that they get under my skin and stay with me well after I’ve finished the book. Case in point: Harper from Pretend You’re Mine . . . probably my favorite heroine of all time! So, I knew going into The Christmas Fix that I was going to love Cat + Noah.

What I wasn’t prepared for, though, was for this enemies-to-lovers story to completely and utterly mesmerize me! I’d already met Cat in Mr. Fixer Upper and begged for her story. I loved her take-charge attitude and her strength to do what she felt was right. Meanwhile, Noah stole my heart as he challenged Cat at every step. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the banter between the two had me laughing. Something else I didn’t expect? The extreme vulnerability in Noah, which made him the way he was, and which had me falling for him as completely as Cat did.

I loved catching up with these characters who have completely embedded themselves in my heart, and now I have a new crush on Noah. If you love a read that has depth, that will make you laugh and make you FEEL, then you need to pick up The Christmas Fix. Noah + Cat and the town of Merry will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.

As of 12.05.17, The Christmas Fix is available with Kindle Unlimited.
