Welcome back to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the One-Click Addict Support Group. This week, I indulged in two short-but-sexy novellas from two authors who never fail to entertain me. Enjoy!

“You’re so goddamn beautiful. You’re never going to want to fake being turned on by some asshole behind a computer screen after I’m done.” ~ Drive Me Crazy
Rebecca Jenshak’s Drive Me Crazy did exactly that—in no more than an hour, Naomi + Grady drove me absolutely crazy.
Their story is a steamy, sexy, forbidden one, and one that falls into that awesome category of quick and dirty. I do so love a Q+D read from time to time, and this one was a blast.
From the outset, Ms. Jenshak took me out of my comfort zone and set a blistering pace with an especially sassy heroine. Naomi owned her career and her sexuality, and that made her a standout. As for Grady—he’s a ripped fireman, a little bit of a jerk, and the best friend of Naomi’s late older brother. Talk about a book boyfriend jackpot.
If I had any complaints about this novella, it’s that it was too short. While it’s a complete story, I firmly believe that Ms. Jenshak could turn this into a kickass full-length book. But since it’s already a kickass novella that’ll drive you crazy, it’s a moot point . . .

And it was. For me, Adored was something of a smash hit. From the first page, as our hero struggles to name his new, unexpected baby, there’s just something indelibly swoony about this novella. In fact, I was so quickly and so easily sucked into Leighton + Judd’s romance, I was finished before I knew it.
Much like Drive Me Crazy, this one could easily have been spun into a full-length novel, and I would have been happy. Naomi + Judd are likable characters—and adding sweet Scarlett to the mix just makes them that much more so—and the story itself deceptively simple. Single father + newborn baby + nanny = romance.
It’s a winning formula and one I could read daily. Especially when executed this well; with heart, humor and, of course, lots of heat—all of the elements needed to make Adored a hit.
Her breath was intended to be stolen by me. Her lips were intended to be kissed by mine. My body was intended to fit perfectly inside hers. ~ Adored
