Happy Sunday and welcome back to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the One-Click Addict Support Group. This week, the second book in a erotic and emotional MM series that’s stolen my heart. Enjoy!
RATING: BUY IT
“What’s not to love? Julien cooks, you worry about the important stuff, and I make everything sparkle.”
It should come as no surprise that I loved Julien, the second book in Ella Frank’s Confessions series. After all, I absolutely adored Robbie, and have been anxiously and excitedly waiting for this next installment.
It was everything I wanted it to be.
This one definitely clocked me in the feels as we learned more about the developing relationship between Julien, his husband, Priest, and their boyfriend, Robbie, and delved into Julien’s broken past.
The writing was, as always, exceptional—the ease with which Ms. Frank’s manages three POVs frankly a little intimidating—and the balance between the highly erotic, the deeply heartfelt and the fabulously humorous it made Julien an addictive page-turner.
That balance comes from these three characters, who each offer something unique to the story, giving it dimension and depth that might otherwise be overlooked because of the M/M/M content.
But this is not a book, or series, to be overlooked. Whether you’re looking for something hot or something with heart, this is the book to grab. But only after you’ve first grabbed Robbie.
“Ma place est juste là, auprès de toi.”
My place is right here with you.
As of 06.10.2018, Julien is available with Kindle Unlimited.
