All In Duet by Alessandra Torre

even moneyOne of the things I love about Alessandra Torre is her ability to write any type of story and have it completely draw me in. Her All In duet had me riveted to my seat and I couldn’t put the books down.

Bell + Dario come from completely different worlds, and yet, are perfect for one another. Neither one of them has let a lot of people into their lives, so the fact that they connected so quickly was fate. Dario’s character should have been scary and intimidating, but I found him to be a protector and someone I’d love to have in my life. He would give anything to protect the people he considered important to him, which he did time and time again throughout the story. I don’t know if I’d call Dario an anti-hero, but he definitely doesn’t paint the picture of your typical hero, which is partly what drew me to him.

double downAnother thing that drew me into this story was the “want what you can’t have” angle. Dario + Bell both knew that they should walk away, but their connection was so strong and they were so drawn to one another that, when they were in scenes together, the heat was palpable. Their chemistry burned up the pages!

Bell was a great heroine. She owned her sexuality, which I absolutely loved. She openly admitted that she had sex only; she didn’t do relationships. I thought it was so refreshing for a female character to be that way. I see a lot of leading men with that MO, but not a lot of leading ladies. She was independent and a strong character. I loved her.

The cliffhanger at the end of Even Money left me with my mouth open and begging for book two! If you haven’t read this duet yet, you are in luck because the second book, Double Down, is out now, and let me tell you, this story has some fireworks! It’s the perfect read for the Fourth of July Holiday, so grab it now!

As of 07.03.18, the All In Duet is available with Kindle Unlimited.
