RATING: BUY IT
“Let me put it to you this way. I don’t like to take without asking. So this is me—asking.”
Let me put it this way: I’ve known for a while now that Beth Michele is an incredibly talented author. And her new release, Going Down, is a perfect example of why.
It might be a short story—it’s not a secret that this book falls firmly into the “quick and dirty” category—but it’s also so much more. It’s a beginning and an ending—bracketed around a hella sexy middle—and Ms. Michele manages to do in about 50 pages what some 400 page books can’t do: make me care.
I cared so much about Dash + Cain. Not just about their sinfully hot connection, although, yeah, that’s a BIG reason to grab this book. But about them. I swooned and fanned myself and felt their connection grow, and I closed this too-short-please-write-more-I’m-greedy-and-have-no-shame novelette with one hell of a smile on my face.
And absolutely no qualms about encouraging you to Buy It. Right. Now.
Jesus, the things I’d like to do to him in an elevator. Or against a wall. Or bent over a couch.
As of 08.21.2018, Going Down is available with Kindle Unlimited.
