KU Sunday Spotlight by KUBR + OCA

Welcome to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the 1-Click Addict Support Group. This week, you get a slightly awkward and completely charming hero, a holiday fling, and all the feels in my Buy It review. Enjoy!

Deacon Montgomery: savior of animals, fearful of public speaking, and skilled dancer. And she felt herself getting lost.

And ↑ that’s ↑ about all you need to know about Declan Montgomery, hero of Claudia Connor’s Love At Last

Okay, not all you need to know, but it helps, right? To know that Declan is a swoony, animal-saving, hip-swinging, kind-of-awkward book boyfriend you can get lost in. Because that’s a great reason to read this book.

But to buy Love At Last, you might need a few more, so here they are {in no particular order, mind you}:

  • A jilted bride who is determined to take back her life.
  • A single father that’s just . . . oof, so dangerous to your ovaries.
  • A story that’s part insta-lust fling, part slow-burn angsty heartbreaker, and all all the feels romance.
  • Scene-stealing secondary characters who should absolutely get their own book/s {*cough Jess and Connor cough*}.

I’ve loved every single book that Ms. Connor has released and I’ve come to expect a pretty high standard from her. And here, despite a few editing errors that ultimately didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the story {but I feel I should mention}, my expectations were met. Exceeded. And then some . . .

Surely that’s reason enough to Buy It?

All her life, she’d wanted to feel this kind of love, and now that she did, she feared it more than she’d feared never finding it.

As of 08.26.2018, Love At Last is available with Kindle Unlimited.
