RATING: READ IT
I was first introduced to Tia Louise’s work when I was asked to read the Bright Lights duet for the blog. I was swept up by the story and I couldn’t wait to be able to fit another of Ms. Louise’s stories into my reading schedule. When I saw the cover for When We Kiss, I couldn’t help but raise my hand for an ARC.
Tabby + Chad’s story is a fun enemies-to-lovers story. Chad is a typical swoony cop—a genuinely good guy with Andy the Anaconda in his pants. A story for another time, but it did make me laugh out loud! He is so patient with Tabby and truly wants to show her all of the good things in life. You can’t help fall for him.
Tabby is wild and stubborn, and wants nothing more than to get away from her preacher uncle and the small town she believes holds her back. Chad represents that small town and the box that her uncle always tried to put her in. As soon as she realized Chad would never put her in a box, there was no life without Chad in it. I loved watching Tabby come to this realization. It was fun to watch her fall for the hot cop.
I loved that this story had humor and the magic of a small town romance. It was a great read and I definitely need to go back and read Emberly’s story, When We Touch. There’s only so many nice weekends left, so grab When We Kiss and enjoy some weekend reading outside!
As of 09.06.18, When We Kiss is available with Kindle Unlimited.
