KU Sunday Spotlight by KUBR + OCA

Welcome back to the KU Sunday Spotlight, brought to you by KU Book Reviews + the 1-Click Addict Support Group. Get your BUNS in gear, my friends, because this week I have a super fun rom-com for you. Enjoy!

“I’m telling you, bro, chicks dig this shit. It’s like having the Magic Micks of the world serving you the best burgers in the area!”
“Magic Mick?”
“Copyright Infringement,” he says. “I try not to say the real name. Don’t want to get sued.”

Look, I’m only human. When you put a book in front of me with the cover, title and premise of Shari J. Ryan’s Man Buns, I’m going to need to know more. And by more, I mean, I’m going to need to read the whole damn story. Preferably somewhere I can giggle without drawing side-eyed looks.

Man Buns

Man Buns is a fun, flirty and slightly silly story—and TBH, it was just what I needed this week. Denver + Kai’s story is really cute, really easy and very lighthearted. Which actually makes it exactly my type of story. It’s a little bit out there, and perhaps not as focus on the *ahem* buns as I expected, but it also made it impossible not to smile and snicker as these two—along with Denver’s sweet-and-salty seven-year-old {and boy, did I recognize my daughter in her} and Kai’s wee-bit-weird sister—found their way to HEA.

If you’re on the lookout for an un-taxing but rather rewarding romance, you should definitely look in the direction of Denver Man Buns. It appears to be part of a series of amusingly titled books, but since this is my first {definitely not last} read by Ms. Ryan, I can vouch for the fact that it’s a standalone. And look, even if it wasn’t, why wouldn’t you want to pick up a Manservant?!

He’s my other half, the butt of my jokes, the period to my sentences, and the sun that was missing from my sky.

As of 09.16.2018, Man Buns is available with Kindle Unlimited.
