A Brand New Ending by Jennifer Probst

“I dreamed you would come after me.”
“And I dreamed you would come back.”

Gah, this beautiful, beautiful book (and I don’t just mean that cover). Jennifer Probst is a favorite author of mine, and her latest, A Brand New Ending, has once again cemented her place on my go-to list.

What a truly delightful second chance romance. It’s a genre I adore—because of the history that comes with it—and Ms. Probst gives that history such depth and emotion. Kyle + Ophelia are childhood friends turned lovers turned . . . nothing, and yet there’s always the sense that they should be everything.

I ached—for Ophelia in particular—as these two fought against and for one another. Ophelia was sweetness and steel combined and argh, I just wanted to see her both take a chance on love and let loose on the sexy-but-sometimes-obtuse Kyle. Ms. Probst knew what she was doing, though, giving me page after page of romance and feels,  and the final result was will they/won’t they tension and an ending that made me more than a little weepy.

Guys, there’s so much feeling in this book—as there is in all of Ms. Probst’s books—and it left me with a happy heart, a smile, and a fabulous reminder that I anticipate this author’s book for a very good reason: they’re beautiful.

“The end of a story was always an important event. As you once told me, beginnings are necessary and cherished, but it’s the endings that will make a person remember you forever.”

As of 10.23.2018, A Brand New Ending is available with Kindle Unlimited.
