My One Despair by Claudia Burgoa

my one despairClaudia Burgoa has quickly become one of my one-click authors. I love her writing style and I fall in love with her characters each and every time. With that said, it was no surprise that I fell completely in love with My One Despair.

We met Tess Hades in My One Regret (which, by the way, was one of my favorite reads of this year, though you don’t have to read it to enjoy this story) and I will admit I didn’t like her. She was a sullen teenager with a lot of issues. I was really curious to see how Ms. Burgoa was going to show us how she’d changed as she matured. I’m so excited to say that I absolutely fell in love with Tess in My One Despair. This damaged girl had become such a wonderful person as she grew up, someone I would want in my friend corner, and I couldn’t wait to see how Gage would bring down the last of her walls.

Gage Rodin . . . *Sigh* I don’t know if I need to say more. This guy, from the first page, stole my heart. He was completely dedicated to Tess at every turn even though his life as a music star was just taking off. He never wanted anything but Tess, however he could get her. He stole my heart early on and I never got it back.

The twists and turns of this book had me riveted to my seat. I didn’t want to put it down and I had to find out what was going to happen. Gage + Tess’s story held me so spellbound, I didn’t want it to end. This is one of those books that, when I got to the last page, I felt like it was just the beginning. I truly hope for more from this couple. Great read!

As of 11.06.18, My One Despair is available with Kindle Unlimited.
