“You don’t know how you wreck me.”
What a rush!! I just finished No Tomorrow by Carian Cole and my emotions are all over the place. A friend recommended it, knowing how much I love angsty reads, and it didn’t disappoint. Such a fantastic novel!!
The synopsis tells you to avoid spoilers and go in blind, so that’s just what I did. All I knew was that I was in for a gut-wrenching story. What I can tell you is this—and it’s also in the blurb so I’m not ruining anything for you: I never thought I’d fall in love with a homeless musician, but that’s just what I did.
Blue performs in the park near Piper’s job and she frequently spends her lunch hour there reading and escaping, as she prefers the quiet over the office gossip. Once Piper + Blue meet, the connection is out of this world—they’re drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. It’s intense and all consuming. Such an incredible love story. But their love story isn’t a fairytale. There’s pain and heartbreak, sorrow and happiness.
Ms. Cole is a new-to-me author and I was blown away by her writing. My heart took a beating and I had to take several breaks because I couldn’t see through my tears.
“There’s a myth that if a man and a woman see a ladybug at the same time, they’ll fall in love.”
No Tomorrow is a beautiful story that will consume you. I was glued to the pages and when I had to adult, I couldn’t get the story out of my head. I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Cole’s work. Incredible!!!
As of 1.17.19, No Tomorrow is available with Kindle Unlimited.
